David Threlfall, geboren 1953 in Burnage, Manchester, ist ein gefeierter Bühnen-, Film- und Fernsehschauspieler. Im Fernsehen ist er wohl am bekanntesten für seine Rolle als leichtsinniger Frank Gallagher in der Channel-4-Serie „Shameless“. 1994 lernte Threlfall während der Dreharbeiten zu einer Inszenierung von „Der Graf von Monte Christo“ am Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester die bosnische Schauspielerin Brana Bajic kennen, die er ein Jahr später heiratete.
