Ellen Tyne Daly (* 21. Februar 1946) ist eine US-amerikanische Bühnen- und Filmschauspielerin, die vor allem durch ihre Rolle als Detective Lacey in der Fernsehserie „Cagney & Lacey“ bekannt wurde. Sie gewann sechs Emmy Awards und einen Tony Award für ihre Fernsehrollen und wurde 2011 in die American Theatre Hall of Fame aufgenommen. Daly begann ihre Karriere auf der Bühne im New Yorker Sommertheater und gab 1967 ihr Broadway-Debüt in dem Stück „That Summer – That Fall“. Sie ist vor allem für ihre Rolle als Detective Mary Beth Lacey in „Cagney & Lacey“ bekannt, für die sie vier Emmy Awards als Beste Hauptdarstellerin in einer Dramaserie erhielt. 1989 spielte sie die Hauptrolle in der Broadway-Wiederaufnahme von „Gypsy“ und gewann 1990 den Tony Award als Beste Hauptdarstellerin in einem Musical. Zu ihren weiteren Fernsehrollen zählen Alice Henderson in „Christy“, für die sie 1996 einen Emmy gewann, und Maxine Gray in „Für alle Fälle Amy“, die ihr 2003 ihren sechsten Emmy einbrachte. Am Broadway war sie unter anderem in „Die Möwe“, in „Rabbit Hole“ (beide für einen Tony Award nominiert) und in „Mothers and Sons“ (beide ebenfalls für einen Tony Award nominiert) zu sehen. Sie verkörperte Maria Callas sowohl am Broadway als auch im Londoner West End in dem Stück „Master Class“. In Marvel Studios‘ „Spider-Man: Homecoming“ spielte sie Anne Marie Hoag.
