Robert Halmi Sr. (ungarisch: Róbert Halmi) war ein in Ungarn geborener Produzent von Filmen und Miniserien für das Fernsehen. 1979 gründete Halmi mit seinem Sohn Robert die Produktionsfirma RHI Entertainment (später Sonar Entertainment) und adaptierte literarische Klassiker für das Fernsehen, darunter „Die Odyssee“ (1997), „Alice im Wunderland“ (1999), „Moby Dick“ (1997) und „Gullivers Reisen“ (1996) und produzierte weiterhin Fernsehfilme und Miniserien.
