Larry Karaszewski und sein Partner Scott Alexander, der als Autor, Regisseur und Produzent tätig ist, sind vor allem für ihre ungewöhnlichen, auf wahren Begebenheiten beruhenden Drehbücher bekannt. Das Duo schuf die erfolgreiche Fernseh-Miniserie „The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story“, für die sie mit dem Golden Globe, dem Emmy, dem PGA Award und dem WGA Award ausgezeichnet wurden. Auch für den Film „The People vs. Larry Flynt“ erhielten sie den Golden Globe und den WGA Award. Zu ihren weiteren Filmen zählen der Oscar-prämierte „Ed Wood“ (WGA-Nominierung), „Big Eyes“ (Independent-Spirit-Nominierung), „Auto Focus“, „Man on the Moon“ und „Dolemite Is My Name“. Das Team wurde in die Final Draft Screenwriting Hall of Fame aufgenommen. Larry Karaszewski war zudem Gouverneur und Vizepräsident der Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
