Biografie:

Richard Bartlett Schroder ist ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler und Filmemacher. Als Kinderschauspieler debütierte er unter dem Namen Ricky Schroder in dem Film Der Champ (1979), durch den er der bislang jüngste Golden Globe-Preisträger wurde, und wurde später zum Kinderstar in der Sitcom Silver Spoons (1982–1987). Zu dieser Zeit spielte er auch die Titelrolle in „Der kleine Lord“ neben Sir Alec Guinness. Als Erwachsener spielte er weiterhin, meist unter dem Namen Rick Schroder, insbesondere in der Western-Miniserie Lonesome Dove (1989) und in der Polizeidramaserie NYPD Blue (1998–2001). Sein Regiedebüt gab er mit dem Film Black Cloud (2004) und produzierte mehrere Filme und Fernsehserien, darunter den Anthologiefilm Locker 13 und die Kriegsdokumentation The Fighting Season.
