John Henshaw ist ein britischer Schauspieler, bekannt für seine Rollen als Wirt Ken in „Early Doors“, Wilf Bradshaw in „Born and Bred“ und Polizist Roy Bramwell in „The Cops“. Henshaw wurde als eines von zwölf Kindern geboren und wuchs in Ancoats, dem ehemaligen italienischen Viertel von Manchester, auf. Zehn Jahre lang arbeitete er als Müllmann, bevor er sich mit 40 Jahren für die Schauspielerei entschied. Seinen Durchbruch feierte er als Bodyguard von Robert Lindsays Figur Michael Murray in der gefeierten Channel-4-Serie „G.B.H.“. Zu seinen weiteren Fernsehrollen zählen Auftritte in „The Royle Family“, „The Visit“ und „Life on Mars“. Im Kino war er unter anderem in der Steve-Coogan-Komödie „The Parole Officer“, dem Bert-Trautmann-Biopic „The Keeper“ und den Ken-Loach-Filmen „Looking for Eric“ und „The Angels' Share“ zu sehen. Henshaw ist Vorsitzender des 24:7 Theatre Festival, einem jährlich in Manchester stattfindenden Festival für neue Theaterstücke.
