Mahershalalalhashbaz "Mahershala" Ali (geb. Mahershalalalhashbaz Gilmore; 16. Februar 1974) ist ein amerikanischer Schauspieler. Ali begann seine Karriere als Stammkunde in Serien wie Crossing Jordan und Threat Matrix, bevor er als Richard Tyler in der Science-Fiction-Serie The 4400 den Durchbruch schaffte. Seine erste große Filmveröffentlichung war im romantischen Fantasy-Drama-Film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button von David Fincher aus dem Jahr 2008. Zu seinen weiteren bemerkenswerten Filmen gehören Predators und The Place Beyond the Pines. Er spielte eine wichtige Rolle im Free State of Jones, der während und nach dem amerikanischen Bürgerkrieg spielt.
