Gillian MacLaren Jacobs, geboren am 19. Oktober 1982 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin und Regisseurin. Bekannt wurde sie vor allem durch ihre Rolle als Britta Perry in der NBC-Sitcom Community (2009–2015). Weitere bedeutende Rollen spielte sie als Mickey Dobbs in der Netflix-Serie Love (2016–2018), Mary Jayne Gold in der Netflix-Miniserie Transatlantic (2023), Mimi-Rose Howard in der HBO-Serie Girls (2015), Atom Eve in der Animationsserie Invincible (2021–heute) und Tiffany Jerimovich in der FX-on-Hulu-Serie The Bear (2023–heute). Gillian Jacobs begann bereits im Alter von vier Jahren mit Schauspielunterricht und nahm als Jugendliche an Wettbewerben im Shakespeare-Theater teil, was zu ihrer frühen Bühnenlaufbahn führte. Sie besuchte die Juilliard School in New York und schloss dort 2004 mit einem Bachelor of Fine Arts ab. Ihren Durchbruch hatte sie mit der Hauptrolle in Community. Neben Film- und Fernsehrollen wirkte sie auch in Theaterproduktionen und Kurzfilmen mit, zudem hat sie Regiearbeiten vorzuweisen, unter anderem den Kurzfilm Curated (2018) und die Dokumentation The Queen of Code (2015).
