Frances Dee, eigentlich Frances Marion Dee oder auch Jean Dee, war eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin. Frances begann ihre Karriere 1929 als Statistin. In der Folgezeit spielte sie meist Nebenrollen und übernahm gelegentlich auch die Hauptrolle in B-Filmen. 1943 spielte Dee die Hauptrolle in dem RKO-Horrorfilm Ich folgte einem Zombie. Ihre Ehe mit Joel McCrea galt bis zu dessen Tod 1990 als glücklich, gelegentlich traten sie auch auch zusammen in Filmen auf. Zusammen hatten beide drei Kinder, darunter der Schauspieler Jody McCrea. 1954 zog sich Frances Dee aus dem Filmgeschäft zurück, drehte jedoch kurz vor ihrem Tod noch einmal den Kurzfilm Far as the Eye Can See.
