Shahin, fed up with the oppression and injustice of the Caliph's agents against his compatriots, is tasked by Tahir Dhul-Yaminayn, a supporter of Ma'mun, to go to Baghdad and, with the help of Iranians, fight against the Caliph. At the same time, Shahin learns that the Caliph's agents have set fire to an Iranian village where his cousin and fiancée, Shahrzad, and her brother, Behzad, live, taking them captive to the Caliph's court.
