When undercover informant Gerhardt Hollai’s cover is compromised, Detective Horst Schimanski finds himself caught between professional duty and personal loyalty. Hollai, a former police officer and longtime friend, has been investigating a shady businessman with ties to organized crime. As Hollai returns to active police duty, Schimanski is tasked with keeping a close eye on him amid growing suspicions about his true allegiances. When a planned armored car robbery offers a chance to bring the criminals to justice, tensions between the two former colleagues escalate. With trust wearing thin and loyalties increasingly uncertain, Schimanski must confront the possibility that his old friend may no longer be on the same side of the law.
