The Last Chance Dance (1984)
JD wants to invite his crush, the prettiest girl in the school to the ball but he's too shy to do anything about it. To assist with his request, since this is a longtime situation with him, there's his best friend, a girl who's friend of his crush. This film started the director's professional career when Steven Spielberg saw it and offered him his first directing job in two episodes of Spielberg's anthology NBC series Amazing Stories.
Director: Phil Joanou
