Angst (1983)
A boy befriends a Jewish girl. They are connected from apartment to apartment via a telephone. This also serves as a warning to the boy when SA thugs raid the girl’s family’s home. He manages to get his friend, who is in danger, out of the apartment and take her by bicycle to a safe house that night. When he tries to bring her a doll the next morning—one he found in the ransacked apartment—the people at that address deny that she is there.
