Night Holds a Truth (1957)
At a long-established katsuobushi wholesaler in Nihonbashi, the second-generation president leaves operations to the capable young manager raised within the family. The manager and the president’s daughter bicker constantly, masking unresolved feelings. When a dispute involving the president’s mistress surfaces, the incident strains both the household and the business.
