After a global environmental disaster, little Merey wanders the world in search of food, water, and warmth. She is wearing a coral necklace, but it is not just a piece of jewelry or a good-luck charm. The ancient Khakas legend says that only this necklace can bring life back to the devastated land. In moments of despair and doubt, Merey remembers her distant ancestors, and this helps her find her way and make the right choice.
