Together with his like-minded associates, Rashid is striving to secure recognition for the Tazy as a distinct dog breed, as well as its recognition at the international level. After all, officially there exists only the category of "Central Asian Sighthound," which encompasses a multitude of varieties—including the Tazy. For Rashid, the Tazy is not merely a variety, but a unique cultural phenomenon that demands careful preservation.
