God Schiep de Mens (1946)
The film God Created Man is a Belgian drama from 1946 about a smuggler who loses the love of his life after serving a prison sentence. While trying to rebuild his life, he marries an innkeeper, but that relationship also ends tragically. When he later meets his former lover again, old feelings resurface. A conflict with her new partner eventually leads to violence, bringing him into trouble with the law once more. The story revolves around guilt, love, fate, and the struggle between good and evil.
