There's a Heist in the Village (2026)
After years of hardship in Abidjan, Léonce returns empty-handed to his native village, determined to start from scratch. But in Odokro, his simple return is enough to awaken fantasies: for the villagers, he is necessarily rich. Very quickly, looks change, expectations explode... and the trouble begins. Caught between neighborhood confusion, the crazy dreams of his friends and the advances of a few too many “good ladies”, he finds himself drawn into organizing a robbery... village style. There's a Heist in the Village is a satirical comedy that is both tender and spicy, where popular humor rubs shoulders with social realities. A dive into an authentic Côte D'ivoire, where dreams are immense, pockets often empty, but plans overflow with imagination. A funny, grounded, and deeply human film, where humor is woven into the heart of the little things of everyday life... and the big dreams of simple people.
Directors: Odo Marie, Consty Peursy.
