Freedom of the City (1975)
A play by Frian Friel, adapted for television by Hugh Webster. The story of three Londonderry citizens who took refuge in the Guildhall, escaping from the gas bombs and confusion of riot-filled streets during a confrontation between civil rights marchers and the military. Their story emerges in a series of flashbacks as a judge presides over a court of inquiry into their deaths.
