A Nest of Singing Birds (1987)
Anna, a young philosophy academic, arrives at a small Canadian university as a sessional lecturer. There she meets an older divorced professor, Ian MacGregor, and they quickly discover a mutual attraction. Senior faculty at the university notice her skill at teaching, but have no funds to keep her on past the term's end. She must decide whether to pursue her career or stay with MacGregor.
