In a certain obstetrics and gynecology clinic, Sachiko lies in a bed, watched over by Kensaku. One year ago, Kensaku, who worked in the scrap metal recycling business, was approached by a young woman. That woman was Sachiko. When Kensaku took a book from her and was about to load it into his car, he dropped several books, and a photograph of Sachiko and a man was tucked between them. He handed it to Sachiko, who smiled and tore it up. This was how Kensaku and Sachiko first met... In a hospital bed, Sachiko wakes up. "I was thinking about our first date."
