The Death of Lucretia (1988)
Many of the greatest dramas feature a young woman who, trapped in the fatal triangle formed by the father, daughter and seducer, is killed. But there are variations in the presentation of this death cell. The artistic director of the Stuttgart Schauspielhaus, Ivan Nagel, a great essayist, has written a book on the themes of autonomy, human dignity, and suicide at the last resort. He speaks here on the death of Lecretia.
