Ira is an artist. She lives with her daughter in a shared apartment. Despite her modest circumstances, Ira creates a world for the girl where she feels like a princess. Ira gets a chance to prove herself at a publishing house, but loses the job following a surprise inspection by child protective services. At home, she continues to foster a sense of wonder for her daughter. And the miracle happens: sketches she had found make their mark, and Ira gets another chance.
