Built in a Night (2026)
İzmir's gecekondu neighborhoods sit at the film's center. Homes built through migration, roofs raised overnight, and resistance against demolition are recalled. Hand-drawn symbols and wall slogans bring oral history to life. Archival footage, present-day filming, and drawings intertwine. The film reconstructs gecekondu's memory as a form of right to housing and resistance, tracing a forgotten era.
