Tommaso's Notebook (2026)

Tommaso is sixteen. He draws everything. In the notebook he always carries with him, he jealously guards what he sees at school, the small and large acts of cruelty, the indifference, the silent complicities. Even his own. When Antonino Bartuccio—former mayor of Rizziconi, a man who defied the 'Ndrangheta while remaining in his position—comes to speak at the school assembly, Tommaso doesn't seem to listen. But something in that story stays with him. The notebook fills up. The drawings become testimony. And Tommaso must choose whether to keep them for himself or display them, with all that that entails. With the understanding that no one can change the world with a sheet of paper, and that doing so is the right thing to do.
