El Retorno de Guayalak (2026)
Amid the mountains and lush landscapes of Salento, a Quimbaya ritual transports young Tulayma to the astral realm. Haunted by visions of the arrival of colonialism, she encounters Guayalak, an ancestral spirit from Quimbaya cosmology. As a messenger between worlds, Tulayma is guided on a spiritual journey that culminates in her arrival at the Salento BirdFair 2025, a festival in Colombia’s Quindío region that celebrates nature, biodiversity, and ancestral heritage.
