A Will That Conquers (1919)

Conceived as a film taking place over two days in three parts and a prologue, the film has as its protagonist Araceli, daughter of the banker León Reynal. Cheated on by her fiancé Herbert and following the death of her father and her family’s ruin, she is forced to work in a circus as a sharpshooter under the name Alba Tiberio. By chance, she meets her former fiancé, and following a confrontation she flees and conceals herself as a man under the name Pedro, signing on to work on a fishing boat. Later Pedro is taken in by the engineer Robert Smith and his daughter Esther. Meanwhile, Herbert joins a group of criminals who plan to sabotage the engine of the airplane designed by Smith for the military. When the criminals kidnap Esther, Pedro, with the help of old friends from the circus, in particular the strongman Castellani, try to prevent it.
