L’incontro (2026)
At two years old, Giorgio Bazzega loses his father, who is killed in 1976 by Walter Alasia, a young member of the Red Brigades. As he grows up, the loss becomes a deep wound, leading him during adolescence into drug addiction and a desire for revenge. Years later, Giorgio encounters the Gruppo dell’Incontro, a restorative justice initiative that brings victims and former perpetrators of political violence together. Through listening and unexpected encounters, he begins a journey of transformation and reconciliation, confronting the wounds of Italy’s Years of Lead and discovering how recognizing the humanity of the other can become the first step toward healing.
