Laura and Marco, a couple who suffered the tragic loss of a child during childbirth, decide to face the process of grieving together. Once they feel ready to share their love with a new member of the family, they come across Giorgio. Abandoned as a newborn at a "Cradle for Life", the boy has lived in a foster home ever since.
