"Committed, citizen-oriented, competent" - Mayor Johannes Größt wants to win over voters with this slogan. But his poll ratings are poor. Größt is stressed, overworked and neglecting his wife Erika. Then disaster strikes: Größt has a car accident and survives seriously injured. While the mayor lies in hospital, his party colleagues around parliamentary group leader Dr. Harry Hindenach continue the election campaign. Because Größt is to remain the leading candidate.
