The Devil's Cage (1928)
Young French girl Eloise is forced to find work as a dancer in a sketchy underworld dive. While working there, she crosses paths once again with Franklyn, an American artist who had previously saved her from a brutal beating. A dangerous criminal named Pierre attacks Franklyn. To protect him and exact her own vengeance, Eloise creatively feigns her own death, causing a panicked Pierre to flee the scene.
