At the end of World War II, Japan was on the brink of defeat after atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Soichiro, Teru, and other kamikaze members of the naval squadron were waiting for the arrival of the kamikaze equipment with Nagasawa in his hospital bed.
