Kalam Marindi (1972)
In this movie inspired by Sujata (1959), Lakshmipati is a village landlord who adopts Shanthi, the daughter of his lower caste servant. When Shanthi grows up and falls in love with Srinivas Rao, his family objects to their marriage due to her caste.
