Andrew Kavanagh is a filmmaker based in Melbourne, Australia. His films have won numerous awards including The Emerging Filmmaker prize at Melbourne International Film Festival, The QANTAS Spirit of Youth Award and Best Short Film at the St Kilda Film Festival and have been sold to various broadcasters. Between 2014 and 2019 he worked as a producer, director and supervising producer at VICE, creating its flagship long form docu-series, Australiana (2017-2020), and developing and directing its special on Indigenous Incarceration Over-Represented (2015).
