Ron McCants

Biography:

A graduate of Dartmouth College and UC San Diego and an alumnus of the prestigious Disney ABC Writing Program, I’ve navigated the highest levels of the studio system. I’ve developed series and movies with studios and production companies as a writer-producer and development executive. When I was the Head of Development at Blue Monday Productions, 3 shows we developed were greenlit by Amazon and many others were sold. I have a natural knack for story structure and business analytics ("the numbers"). I’ve staffed on Cross, Chicago Fire and Speechless. I’ve produced independent TV pilots and short films that have screened globally and garnered awards. After recognizing the systemic financial barriers that exclude working-class and non-coastal storytellers, I expanded Tenet Productions to build the infrastructure that the industry refuses to provide. I am an award-winning writer, producer, and educator. My clients have broken into the industry, staffed on TV shows, sold shows and movies, secured representation, been admitted to the most prestigious screenwriting programs and fellowships and become showrunner assistants. I offer script and pitch consultations, exclusive yearlong writing workshops, inexpensive self-education courses and documents, corporate and university workshops and more.
