Biography:

Eduardo Alvares Moreira is a Brazilian businessman, engineer, author, and media presenter. He graduated with a degree in civil engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and later studied economics at the University of California, San Diego. His early career developed within the financial market, where he served as a partner at Banco Pactual, managing the treasury department for Latin America until 2009. He subsequently co-founded the financial group Brasil Plural and established the investment platform Genial Investimentos, leaving the financial sector in 2017 to redirect his operations.Following his transition from investment banking, Moreira focused his activities on political and economic commentary, social activism, and independent media production. He co-founded the Instituto Conhecimento Liberta (ICL), an educational platform, and launched ICL Notícias, a digital broadcasting network dedicated to public policy and socio-economic analysis. He has written several analytical books addressing wealth concentration and inequality in Brazil, and his media performance has been formally recognized through national digital communication awards.
