Joana Torgal

Biography:

Adapted from DAFilms' website: Graduated in Industrial and Graphic Design, since 2004, Joana Torgal has developed her professional activity in the fields of design and communication, serving as a consultant and designer for several entities. She was co-founder of Canto Redondo (2008), whose involvement consists of project design in Culture and Science fields, and more recently, UP_Unlock Produções (2019), a company specialised in management and communication of graphic and audiovisual projects. In 2007, she joined Colectivo Fotograma 24 – Laboratório Itinerante de Cinema de Animação para a Alfabetização Visual (Animated Cinema Itinerant Laboratory for Visual Literacy), which for 20 years has contributed to non-formal education through pre-cinema workshops (optical toys) and animation cinema, producing, nationally and internationally awarded, animated short films. In 2016, she joined Marca – ADL, which promotes actions in the socio-cultural area, in environmental preservation and in the appreciation of the natural and built heritage. It enjoys ENGO, RNAJ (National Register of Youth Associations) and certified nursery statutes.
