Amanda Pernilla Oljelund, born October 9, 1962, in Västerleds parish, Stockholm county, is a Swedish screenwriter for film and TV, journalist, and children's and youth book author. After studying literature, political science, and journalism at Stockholm University, she was active as a journalist during the years 1983–90, mostly as a feature journalist and columnist at Svenska Dagbladet. Oljelund has been a full-time writer since 1994. She writes mainly for film and TV, for adults as well as for children and adolescents. As a novelist, she has, among other things, written the books about the nail-biting, thoughtful, 13-year-old Cornelia Karlsson, which have been translated into a number of languages. Oljelund was nominated for a Guldbagge Award in 2011 for Best Screenplay for the relationship drama 'Stockholm Östra', which was also nominated for Best Male Lead (Mikael Persbrandt) and Best Cinematography.
