New Delhi, India:
Aditya Dhar (born 12 March 1983) is an Indian director, screenwriter, producer and lyricist who works in Hindi cinema. He made his directorial debut with the 2019 war film Uri: The Surgical Strike, which was a critical and commercial success, becoming the 4th highest-grossing Indian film of the year and earning Dhar the National Film Award for Best Direction. He then directed the Dhurandhar series (2025-2026), a spy action thriller duology; both films in the series emerged as being among the highest-grossing Indian films of all time, earning Dhar widespread recognition across the Indian film industry. Dhar's films are known for their nationalistic themes, which have divided critics; commentators have contrastingly described his works as patriotic or propagandistic.
