Biography:

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Claire Gordon or Clare Gordon (was born 1941) in the City of Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, UK. Her father was a doctor, and her mother a make-up artist, who worked for Max Factor. Gordon is a British actress known for leading and cameo roles in many British movies, mainly in the 1960's and 1970's. She also worked with most television and comedy stars of this period. She made her West End theatre debut on a motor bike in The Darling Buds of May and then created the role of Peggy Evans in Neil Simon's Come Blow Your Horn. She later made theatrical history as the first actress to appear naked on stage in The Three Musketeers, playing Lady De Winter. The New Statesman wrote, "watch out for the bath scene; it's a breakthrough." Most recently, she played the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella at the Princes Theatre, Hunstanton and is currently working on her memoirs.
