Gregorio de Laferrere (1876-1913) was an Argentine comedic writer who triumphed in his country's theater scene. His work was a reflection of the triumphs and defeats, fears and vices of the aristocratic Rioplatense society during the beginning of the 20th century, with their uncertainty and hope.
