Michael Basta

Biography:

Michael Basta is a Director, Editor, Writer, and Producer with a degree in Film/Video Production from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. From 2016-2023, he worked in the entertainment industry as a Video Editor on Hulu’s marketing creative team. He's edited a wide range of promotional content: including trailers, teasers, social promos, brand spots, ad sales, sizzles, display units, and cultural campaigns. He currently work as a freelance video editor/producer. He's also a Co-Founder of an independent film collective called Omnes Films, which seek to fill a void in modern cinema with films made by friends that are passionate, ambitious, favor atmosphere over plot, and study the many forms of cultural decay in the 21st century. Whatever the subject or genre, it seeks projects that are original in conception and feel like they’ve never been made before.
