Biography:

Ana Songel is an award-winning stop-motion director and animator based in Glasgow, Scotland. Two years ago Ana was selected by the micro-budget film scheme "Little Pictures" run by GMAC Film and Screen Scotland to make her first commissioned stop motion I MISS HUGS, which has recently screened in BAFTA and Oscar-qualifying film festivals. She is currently building her portfolio as a freelance animator and developing her next stop motion film called BEATLESS, through the Screen Scotland-funded scheme Sharp Shorts. Her work explores big feelings told through animated metaphors inspired by her own experiences, surroundings, and nature. She also loves creating fun colorful stop-motion content for local and international brands and helps them convey their unique message through bespoke animations!
