Portugal:
João Garcia Neto (1998) is a Portuguese transdisciplinary artist, whose work revolves mostly around cinema. He investigates the boundaries of time-based media, (moving) images, performance and installation, being often inspired by the conflicts between memory and history, media and representation, documentary and fiction. Having completed a master degree in Directing and Dramaturgy at the Lisbon Theatre and Film School, he previously did a postgraduate degree in Visual Studies at NOVA (Lisbon), and was originally trained in Intermedia Arts at the Poznan University of the Arts.
