Tohir Saidov (born September 28, 1965, in Khorezm Region, Uzbekistan) is an Uzbek theater and film actor, recognized as one of the respected figures of contemporary Uzbek performing arts. He holds the titles of Honored Artist of Uzbekistan and People's Artist of Uzbekistan. Saidov began his professional acting career in 1991 at the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theater, where he created more than 60 memorable stage characters. His theatrical work includes acclaimed performances in productions such as The Horizon, Nights Without Daylight, King Lear, Hamlet, The Mischievous Boy, Bygone Days, and many others, showcasing his ability to portray a wide range of dramatic and complex characters. Alongside his successful theater career, Saidov has built a strong presence in Uzbek cinema and television. He has appeared in numerous films and series, including Shaytanat, Charxpalak, Sardor, Sug‘diyona, Uloq, 18 Kvadrat, Chavandoz, and Suv yoqalab. His performances are known for their emotional depth, versatility, and powerful screen presence. The role that brought him nationwide recognition was the character of the beggar in the television series Ko‘ngil ko‘chalari, which became one of the most memorable performances of his career. Through both film and television, Saidov has created more than 20 notable screen roles, becoming a familiar and respected face among Uzbek audiences. For his significant contribution to Uzbek culture and arts, Tohir Saidov was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Uzbekistan in 2005 and later received the prestigious title of People's Artist of Uzbekistan in 2025.
