Matthew Thomson is an audio post engineer, location sound recordist, composer, music producer and audio mastering engineer based out of St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. He has been working in the film and television industry for over a decade starting in Montreal when he worked as a studio assistant at National Film Board in Montreal from 2008 to 2011. He has been working as freelance music producer, engineer and composer for more then 15 years, recording producing, mixing and mastering bands and singer/songwriters. He is a member of IATSE 709 union as a sound recordist, boom op and utilty sound as well as a member of DGCNL union as an audio post editor.
