Andreas van Riet (November 12, 2001) is a Dutch director, writer, editor, and actor. He made his first short film Rêverie (2020), as a school research project on postmodernist film, at 18-years-old. Shortly after he made the short visual poem Helia (2020), the dystopian drama INTER-VOLTA (2021), and his debut feature film Superbia or: The Fallen Son (2021), a supernatural thriller about a faustian bargain. From 2022-2024 he followed a bachelor in filmmaking at the London Film Academy. Where he wrote, directed and edited the LFA produced short films Attached (2022), an exercise visualising the betrayal of trust, Andy & Lucy Watch TV (2023), an existential horror satirising the American sit-com, and The Nettle Man (2025), a coming-of-age fable, while editing his independent adaptation of Franz Kafka's classic novella The Metamorphosis (2024) in which he played the leading role of Gregor Samsa.
