Lisbon, Portugal:
Miguel Laranjeira was born in Lisbon on May 11, 2004, and has lived there all his life. He completed a Video Technician course at EPI and holds a degree in Cinema and Media Arts from Lusófona University, where he wrote and directed works such as "A Promoção" and "ELE/ELA". He interned at the production company Fast Forward (2022) as a video editor and production assistant, and in 2024 received a scholarship to attend the Pratt Institute in New York, where he wrote, directed, and edited the short film "A Glimpse of You". Back in his hometown, in 2025, he co-wrote, co-directed, and edited his final course short film "A Family Stain" (Uma Nódoa de Família), for which he received the "Best Editing" award at the Over&Out 2025 festival. He is currently working at BRO Cinema as the production company's in-house editor.
