Luis Chumbe Huamani

Biography:

Luis Adolfo Chumbe Huamani was born in Inquitos and explored the audiovisuals very young. He has worked in TV productions and small projects (mini-series and short films). He worked as a teacher in several organizations. He is an audiovisual producer specialized in documentaries. He participated in the making of the feature films: “Mapacho” (Pucallpa, Peru -2019), “Miss Amazonas” (Iquitos, Peru – 2019), “Responso por un abrazo” (Iquitos, Peru – 2013), “Fuga” (Tarapoto and Iquitos, Peru – 2022) and “The Rise of the Human 3” (Sri Lanka, Peru and Taiwan – 2023). He wrote and directed a fiction miniseries “Colegio Nacional”, Iquitos-2009 and has directed short films such as “Sergio Libre” (2018) winner at the Peruvian Short Film Festival and participant in FECIT; and “Sudada” (2022) participating in the Unusual Festival of Lima and Discovery Film Festival. Currently, he is co-founder of the audiovisual company Sacha Cine, and has been the local coordinator of two intercultural audiovisual management projects in Loreto: Kinomada (Iquitos, 2019) and Proyecto Icaro (2016-2022). In addition, he is in the distribution phase of his first feature documentary “Sonido Amazónico”.
