Biography:

Iván Ladeiras is an Asturian director and producer currently pursuing a degree in Film at ECAM. He further developed his screenwriting skills alongside Lola Salvador and he holds a degree in Acting from the ESAD of Asturias He was awarded Best Pitch for his short film project Lo que fuiste at the film development lab FilmLab LaC6, where he was mentored by Alvaro Gago, and received the Nuevos Realizadores prize in the 62nd edition of the Gijón International Film Festival. In 2026 he completed the short film, which is currently in distribution through Mubox Studio. At the same time, he is developing his first feature film, El sur quedó lejos, a documentary work based on photographic material filmed by the director’s grandfather in his youth. Ladeiras’ work explores themes such as human relationships, death and existential questions.
